MATT EICH
A graduate of Ohio University, Matt Eich is a freelance photographer and a founding member of the photographer collective, LUCEO IMAGES. While he has worked on five continents, Matt’s images focus on his own back yard, often exploring communities, the issues they face, and their sense of identity.

As an award winning photographer, Eich’s accolades are many. Most recently for his project Sin & Salvation in Baptist Town, he was awarded National Geographic’s Innovation in Storytelling Grant and was commended by the Ian Parry Scholarship. Also in 2010, he was named one of Photo District’s News’ 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch. Eich also has to his credit the POYi’s Community Awareness Award, The Magenta Foundation’s Bright Spark Award, the World Press Photo Joop Swart Master Class and more.

Eich’s work has been widely exhibited in this country and abroad and is in the permanent collection of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Listed among Eich’s numerous editorial clients are National Geographic, TIME, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, The FADER, Smithsonian Magazine and AARP Bulletin.
